Padho aur Badho, is a unique and a pioneering effort by AROH in support with GAIL India Ltd for reaching out to the school dropout and out of school children residing in the slum areas of Delhi/NCR and bringing them under the fold of literacy through mainstreaming into formal schools.
This exemplary work carried out by AROH has turned the lives of more than 25000 children directly and have helped the parents understand and support their children in having an educated life. In recognizing the efforts by AROH, a certificate of appreciation has been conferred at the 1st Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya Awards for Best CSR Practices in Education, 2014 held at Scope Complex Delhi on 5 June, 2014 organized by CSR Times, in the presence of Justice (Retd.) M.S.A. Siddiqui, Chairman, National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Govt. of India, Mr. Shakti Sinha, a prominent orator at IAS Training Centre, Policy Research Group (also, former 3 times private secretary to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee).
AROH Foundation has bagged the 'BEST COMMUNITY ACTION'
AROH Foundation has bagged the 'BEST COMMUNITY ACTION' award for Global Sustainability at the World CSR congress conference held on 18 February, 2013 at TAJ Lands End in Mumbai. The awards recognized sustainability champions across various NGO's, corporates and industries.
AROH bagged the prestigious award in recognition to the community work carried out at the grass root levels. The award was presentedduring the 2nd Blue Dart Global CSR Excellence & Leadership Awards at a glittering function at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai on February 18, 2013.
AROH Foundation bags the Best CSR Practices Award in Livelihood Sector
AROH AROH Foundation bagged the BEST CSR Practices Award in Livelihood at the award ceremony of National CSR Conclave organized by Think Media Inc on 21 March 2014 at at Hotel Royal Plaza, Ashoka Road, New Delhi. AROH was declared a winner after a rigorous screening process and awarded for its efforts in providing sustainable livelihoods to more than 30,000 poor youth and women across the nation through pioneering and innovative CSR interventions like GARIMA, UDAAN, UTKARSH, etc.
The National CSR Conclave organized by ThinkmediaInc aimed at bringing different stakeholders under one roof to discuss the present challenges and issues regarding CSR including the issue of mandatory CSR, its role in shaping business strategies and synchronizing the business capital with social capital.CSR Heads of repute organizations and NGOs participated in the Conclave and shared their experiences
Best NGO Award conferred to AROH for Community Development
AROH Foundation has been awarded with 'BEST NGO' award for its community outreach in the South Delhi cluster by the Municipal Councilor of the area. The councilor office assessed the works done by all the NGO's operating out of South Delhi and finalized AROH for its impactful service in the community. GAIL India's CSR initiative "Padho aur Badho" & "GARIMA" has influenced a lot of young women and children and their lives have changed for better. The award was conferred during the glittering ceremony held on 4 May, 2013 and Ms Dipti (Coordinator of the South Delhi Cluster) accepted the award on behalf of the Foundation
BEST COMMUNITY ACTION AWARD
'Padho aur Badho', a GAIL CSR initiative being implemented by AROH Foundation for the past three years, was adjudged the best project under the category "Best Community Action Award" at the world CSR Congress for its extensive outreach and effort to realize "Education for All" in more than 100 slums of Delhi/NCR, ensuring schooling for more than 18,000 children at the glittering ceremony held at Taj Land Ends, Mumbai on 18 February 2013.
ASIA PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL AWARD
Dr Neelam Gupta (President & CEO) of AROH Foundation has been conferred with the prestigious 'Asia Pacific International Award' for her contribution for International Integration & for Individual Excellence in Recognition of Sterling Merit Excellent Performance & Outstanding Contribution for the Progress of the Nation & Worldwide at the gala ceremony held at Bangkok (Thailand) on 4 January, 2013 during the Global Achievers Summit
Mr Korn Dabbaransi (Former Dy Prime Minister of Thailand), Sardar Joginder Singh (Former C.B.I. Director of India), Dr. V.B.Soni (Former Diplomat/ Ambassador) and other well known dignitaries representing Asia Pacific presided over the ceremony to award the awardees. The award is a reward for Dr Gupta's awe-inspiring works towards the socially neglected section of the society.
RAJIV GANDHI EXCELLENCE GOLD MEDAL
Dr. Neelam Gupta, President and CEO of AROH Foundation has been honoured with the prestigious 'Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Gold Medal' by GEPRA (Global Economic Progress & Research Association) a national level player working in the field of global economic progress.
The awards are conferred to meritorious Indian personalities who have contributed to the society in fields of Education, Social work, Science etc.
UDYOG RATTAN AWARD
Dr. Neelam Gupta has been honoured with the prestigious Udyog Rattan Award by the Institute of Economic Studies, one of the premier research-oriented and awareness promoting global organisations. AROH Foundation has bagged the Excellence Award.
Neelam Gupta has received this award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the socio-economic upliftment of several thousands of poor, marginalised and unreached populations in slums and remote rural areas through education and livelihood Programmes.
